Vondelpark Open air theater

Every summer you can go to the Vondelpark Openluchttheater on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for surprising performances and concerts: dance, youth theatre, cabaret, classical and pop music. With big names and young talents. And, all performances are free!

Keti Koti Festival

On 1 July 1863, slavery was abolished in the former colonies of Suriname and the Netherlands Antilles. Amsterdam, with its many inhabitants of Surinamese and Antillean origin, celebrates this more extensively than any other city, and hosts the Keti Koti Festival every year. On various stages you’ll find multicultural music and dance performances and on the square one can enjoy traditional food and drinks, lectures, films, a Caribbean market and art.

Amsterdam Roots Festival

Here you can discover the most beautiful music from all over the world. This annual world music festival attracts international top artists to Amsterdam and usually closes with a large open-air festival.

Robeco SummerNights

In July and August, Het Koninklijk Concertgebouw will once again be dominated by the annually recurring Robeco SummerNights. The many concerts where top artists and upcoming musicians perform in the genres of classical, jazz, pop and world music, are part of the cultural summer agenda in Amsterdam every year.

Julidans

Over het IJ Festival

Over het IJ Festival is a theatre festival at the top of Amsterdam. Cycle from the North or take the ferry across the IJ and you will reach the bustling festival at the NDSM shipyard. In 2018 the festival will celebrate its 26th edition!

Wonderfeel

Wonderfeel is a brand-new festival for classical music on the estate of a stately home, about 25 kilometers southeast of Amsterdam: Schaep and Burgh nature reserve in ‘s-Graveland. Wonderfeel provides dozens of concerts, lectures, documentaries, children’s activities and delicious snacks.

Welcome to the Future

Hortus Festival

Milkshake Festival

Milkshake Festival is a collaboration between Air and Paradiso, two of the biggest clubs in Amsterdam, with many different stages. The idea nothing has to be done, everything is allowed ‘ is a priority during the festival. Milkshake celebrates the city and its initiatives and is committed to more courtesy and love for each other. Expect sparkling decors, spectacle and a wide variety of performances and visitors.

Pride Amsterdam

Pride Amsterdam is one of the largest Pride events in Europe with its 350,000 visitors of its kind. Moreover, Amsterdam is the only city in the world that celebrates Pride with an exuberant boat parade, the Canal Parade, through the canals. Gay Pride offers a range of events in both gay and straight places, from dance parties to film festivals, sporting events, culture and more.
